Pop Blitz Review

It’s been a while sense we talked Funko Pops, so let’s change that. However this time were going to talk about Funko Pop Blitz an app/game.

Funko Pop Blitz is a match three puzzle game that incorporates the collecting of Funko Pops. Each pop can be used as a character and has a different power up to help the player. The Pops can also be upgraded to be more powerful so you can score even more.

It’ a pretty standard match three game. Though your playing for the highest score instead of an objective like say in Candy Crush. This is fine, except it seems like your just playing the same level over and over which gets repetitive. With a more defined objective system, or level progress it’s easy to measure the progress you’re making. Though each level only takes maybe a minute so its fast paced.

The game is free to download, but has microtransactions. You can buy coins to get more POPs, or extra hearts to keep playing. Honestly I don’t recomend buying anything in this game as theres no real point, as it just getting a higher score instead of like a better rank or cosmetic. I mean you could get the additional coins for more pop characters, but they are a mystery box so you don’t know what your going to get.

Though the one think I think the game did really well was the amount of IP’s they have in the game. You can play as characters from Trolls, The Office, Jurassic Park. They are always adding more as well to keep the game fresh.

Overall I think It’s a B- rating from me. It’s a fun time waster, with cool Pop visuals, but it’s nothing special as far as game play. I would recomend it mostly if you’re a fan of Pops to give it a try, or if your looking for a very casual game to play.

Funko News 12/17/18

Leading off is the Captain Crunch pop. I thought they made this already.

Next up is Captain Marvel, guess this is gong with a movie release.

Then we have Felix the cat.

After that its pops from the show the Jefferson’s.

Then we have Rick James for the rocks line.

Then we have more cereal, it’s the Flash now.

Then we have another marvel games series pop.

Then we have a new wave of Attack on Titan.

Five Night’s at Freddy’s Pizza Simulator gets a line of mystery minis and plush.

Fortnite continues to add to their line of merchandise.

Then we have AC/DC pops coming soon.

NHL additions are coming as well.

The Lion King gets a new set of pops. Pretty good-looking ones.

Disney is getting a line of mystery vinyl figures that looks pretty good.

Titanic movie pops are the next new addition. Surprised these haven’t been released already.

Next is a version of Romeo and Juliet from I’m guessing a new movie. No thank you.
Finally, we have Avatar: The last Airbender, the cartoon version getting pops. I don’t like the show so I’m not a fan of the pops.

 

Funko News 11/30/18

Leading off we have a set of Scrubs pops. Surprised these haven’t been done already. Either way they aren’t for me.

 

Next up is a Betty Boop pop set. Very classic look.

 

Next up are sets for Dirty Dancing and Nacho Libre pops. They are Ok, but nothing I really want.

Make it stop please.

 

New Game of Thrones Vynl addition coming, stil don’t like this line. The rock candy looks good though.

 

More Star Wars to rush out and get, not.

 

Jem and the Holograms is available now. This is the 80’s edition.

 

You can also get a few more Micky Mouse pops to add to the collection.

 

Lilo and Stitch Vynl are available now. Theres are actually kind of cute.

 

A pretty light week ,but with the holiday last week I expected it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Funko News 11/16/18

First up is a set of Mega Man action figures. No thanks not for me.

A couple new old-school shirts are coming to target.

Next up is a new Harry Potter Movie moment.

New Overwatch stuff featuring the new champ Ashe. Very cool looking pop.

Then we have pops from FLCL coming. I don’t even know what this is so I’ll pass.

Even more Harry Potter is on the way. These have some great items, especially the Ron on chess piece one.

Even more pop cereal is coming no thank you.

Want more Fantastic Beasts, well they got them too.

Next up is a set of Star vs. The forces of evil pops. They look good, but I have to check out the show first to see if I like it.

Then we have a couple more super cool Disney additions to the specialty series.

More Marvel coming soon.

Aladdin is getting several new additions.

Rick and Morty continues to invade with new merch.

Fantasia gets an awesome looking exclusive pop.

Money Heist, a tv show gets a wave of pops. Never heard of this show, so no thank you.

Next up is a wave of 90’s Nick stuff. These are really cool and should make a lot of people happy.

Next up is a set of Boy Meets world pops. About time they made these and I hope they sell well to get more added to the line. I would love to see a Mr. Feeney pop.

Next up is a wave of Tokyo Ghoul pops. Another wave that isn’t for me.

Ronda Rousey is getting a new pop. Not surprised at all about that.

The last announcement for this post is a new Vynl pair for My Hero Academia. Not worth the effort on this one

I think the past two weeks have been pretty lackluster. O well saves me some money.

 

 

Funko News 11/2/18

Let’s start the week off with a pair of anime pop releases. No thank you.

Then we have a second wave of Jetsons pops. Theres are pretty good.

More pop Pez dispensers are on the way. I’ll pass.

Then we have a wave of black light Five Night’s at Freddy’s. They look kind of cool, yet I’m kind of sick of this line getting new additions. As fair as I know this fad is over.

Wreck it Ralph is getting some new rock candy. These are really cute and funny. I’ll have to pick up a couple of them at least.

The Netflix version of Sabrina the teenage Witch is getting a pop. Its pretty cute and has a bonus cat friend.

Fortnite will see the line grow by several new products.

Lord of the Rings are seeing some new additions. Yet I thought they did a lot of these already.

Then we have some Voltron pops. These look pretty good.

Rudy the football player from the movie of the same name is now being a pop. It looks good if not much different than most of the NFL pops.

Next up is a new wave of pop Pez dispensers. Pretty fun new wave too.

Get ready to ball with a new wave of NBA pops.

How about we party on. Wayne’s world is getting a duo of pops. The pair looks totally excellent.

Next is a set of pops and other merchandise from the new Mary Poppins movie.

We conclude the post with a set of Queen pops. These should go well with the Queen movie coming out today.

A good week of announcements featuring something for everyone.

 

 

Funko News 10/19/18

To start off this two-week set of announcements with some new Riverdale items. The show continues to be popular, so these should be as well.

Next up is another Dragon Ball Z pop for the specialty series. This is starting to annoy me with the amount of them there are.

Then we have pops from the movie Split. I’ll pass.

Then we have trading places pops. I’ll pass on these too.

Stranger Things gains a lot of new stuff in this wave. Pretty good that this line is still going strong.

Then we have a Harry Potter advent calendar. Pretty cute.

Then they have a new pop director. I can’t imagine these being that popular.

The next set up is summoner’s war. It’s a game I guess, as I haven’t heard of it. Yet these look pretty cool.

A new Vynl two-pack is coming for the new Aqua man movie. It looks pretty good, but it is a Vynl so I’m skipping it.

Now available are some awesome Overwatch pops.

Kingdom Hearts is getting a new wave of pop, which is pretty good.

Don’t Starve is getting a wave of pops. Not sure what this is so I’ll pass.

Next is a wave of Black Panther Vynal. No thanks.

Then we have more of the cereal. Why is the cereal popular, are we being trolled?

Mostly unimpressed with the announcements for this period of two weeks.

Funko News 10/5/18

We start off this cycle of announcements with more Game of Thrones additions.

Then we have another stupid set of Star Wars Vynl.

We have even more Cuphead coming, which is pretty good.

Next up is pops from the movie Alita: Battle Angel. Never heard of this movie and these pops look pretty boring.

Then we have a set of Die-Hard pops. Surprised these haven’t been done yet.

Then we have more pops coming from the English Premier League. No thank you not a big soccer fan.

Super Cute t’s get a new set of Game of Thrones.

Then we have more Bendy and the Ink Machine pops coming.

Next up we have Fortnite pops. Lots of options and should do well thanks to the popularity of the game.

The we have a pair of pretty silly looking Halloween Overwatch pops.

Theres a new Rudolph the reindeer Vynl two pack coming. This is actully a cute set even though I’m not a fan of this line.

Next up is a new wave of Fallout everything. Pretty good stuff from a good-looking game.

Wreck it Ralph has a new wave for the new movie. Lots of cool options to choose from.

Cowboy Bebop is getting a pair of pops. I’m not liking these as they seem random and out of place.

Next up are a pair of Dr. Who pops.

We have more Thanos options coming. While I like the idea, I think its just overkill on this set.

Next up is a set of action figures called primal age. These have a wave of DC comics coming. These look terrible and make no sense. The bat hound is not a dinosaur, nor is the Joker some kind of ripped warrior. This is set is said to be based off 80s designs but I think it just looks stupid. Please don’t buy these so they stop making these.

We then have a wave of horror, Rock and Bullwinkle and Marvel. These are pretty good.

The list of announcements is a mix for sure. Lots of good and lots of bad so a solid mix.

 

 

Funko news 9/21/18

First up is a new set of plush kitties. These are holiday themed and adorable.

Then we have another Bob’s Burgers exclusive pop coming.

Next up is a pop ride from Jurassic park. This is pretty cool and will go nicely with your collection full of dinosaurs.

Next is a pair of SpongeBob holiday pops. No thanks I’ll pass.

Next, we have some Destiney blind bag keychains. Pretty cool, but not my thing.

South Park is getting a Mr. Garrison pop from the specialty series. This is pretty funny and about time he gets a pop.

Please ignore this new addition. I really think this is so fan over the line with not being needed.

However, there are more Flash pops to collect if that’s your thing. I do like the running pose on these, but I feel like they made one of these already and don’t need to do it again.

New Grinch pops are coming. These look good.

Next up is a pair of Deadpool supercute t’s. Love these designs there pretty funny.

Metallica is getting a new pop. This one is pretty creative.

The Nutcracker and Four Realms gets a pair of pops.

NYCC is getting a new chrome Batman. This is going to be popular.

Fantastic Beasts gets even more merchandise.

Even more DC comics stuff coming for NYCC. These are pretty cool.

Get Groovy with Austin Powers pops.

NYCC has new music, video games Garbage Pail Kids and Star Wars editions. These don’t interest me at all.

DC Bombshells are getting a line of mystery minis. That’s exciting.

Haunted Mansion gets a pop ride that looks awesome.
The movie Mortal Engines is getting a pop set, never heard of this movie.

Theres also a ton of NYCC exclusives. Lot’s of different types of pop culture to suite any fan. Check them out here.

Overall it was a busy two weeks for Funko. They made many good additions and equally as many questionable ones.

 

Funko News 9/7/2018

Here’s the latest and greatest Funko news.

First, we start with Overwatch T-shirts. Pretty cool, but nothing about them says funko. They just look like a regular t-shirt.

Mariah Carey is the next pop rocks line addition. Its very cute.

Target gets a set of Ad Icons t-shirt with mini pop set. These are cute, but only come in youth sizes. Kind of a bummer.

More music pops coming with Notorious B I G. I thought these were made already, but the look good.

Next up we have Married with Children getting a wave of pops. You can collect all six coming soon.

The new Fantastic Beasts movie gets a big new wave of merchandise. There’s lots to collect if you like this line of pops.

Next up we have the Brady Bunch getting a new line of pops. This is pretty good and sticks well to the recent theme of a lot of older sitcoms getting waves.

Finally, just in time for football season is a new wave of NFL legends pops. A very good addition for nay football or sports fan.

Pretty light set of announcements. Yet it’s a pretty good set.

Funko New 8/24/18

We start the cycle with a pair of Marvel announcements. Mostly these both just seem overdone.

Disney parks get an exclusive splash mountain pop. This is really cool.

If you like Nightmare Before Christmas you’ll love this next announcement. There’s a lot of new products coming in honor of the 25th anniversary of the film.
I think the snow globes and the diamond Jack pop are the highlights from this set, but everything looks really good.

Aqua man is getting a boatload of merchandise for the new movie. These are pretty cool and might be the best-looking Aqua man pops to date.

Horror fans can get new five star line figures soon. Funko is really committing to this line.

The Predator has new pops coming out. I though a bunch of these were made already.

Next up we have Marvel Studios pint sized heroes. I though these were made before. That and it’s been a while sense they made an addition to this line. Still not a fan of them.

Horror figures are being added to the Savage world line. I don’t remember this line for starters. Two I don’t think they need these. I’m getting sick of all the horror additions.

Next up are pops for musician Prince.  These look great.

Marvels Runaways is getting a wave of pops. I don’t know about that show so I’ll pass.

Brand new Power Ranger pop coming too.

If you like Mickey Mouse you’re in luck. Celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Mouse with lots of Funko products.

Funko Pez dispensers add a lot of new options to the mix. These look pretty cool.

Next, we have a new set of Pop directors. The Duffer Brothers of Stanger Things fame gets their own two pack available at Hot Topic.

The Savage world line gets a new Thundercats addition. This line really doesn’t add anything to the already stacked product line. I think Funko should stop adding new lines and just stay with the existing ones.

Not the best set of announcements for me at least. Though if you like horror ,or Disney you’re in luck.
