Pop Blitz Review

S. Samek

It’s been a while sense we talked Funko Pops, so let’s change that. However this time were going to talk about Funko Pop Blitz an app/game.

Funko Pop Blitz is a match three puzzle game that incorporates the collecting of Funko Pops. Each pop can be used as a character and has a different power up to help the player. The Pops can also be upgraded to be more powerful so you can score even more.

It’ a pretty standard match three game. Though your playing for the highest score instead of an objective like say in Candy Crush. This is fine, except it seems like your just playing the same level over and over which gets repetitive. With a more defined objective system, or level progress it’s easy to measure the progress you’re making. Though each level only takes maybe a minute so its fast paced.

The game is free to download, but has microtransactions. You can buy coins to get more POPs, or extra hearts to keep playing. Honestly I don’t recomend buying anything in this game as theres no real point, as it just getting a higher score instead of like a better rank or cosmetic. I mean you could get the additional coins for more pop characters, but they are a mystery box so you don’t know what your going to get.

Though the one think I think the game did really well was the amount of IP’s they have in the game. You can play as characters from Trolls, The Office, Jurassic Park. They are always adding more as well to keep the game fresh.

Overall I think It’s a B- rating from me. It’s a fun time waster, with cool Pop visuals, but it’s nothing special as far as game play. I would recomend it mostly if you’re a fan of Pops to give it a try, or if your looking for a very casual game to play.

Disney Sorcerer’s Arena Adds Raids

S. Samek

On the blog we have talked a bit about the game DSA. Well recently a big new change was added to the game in the form of raids. Raids involve doing battle with your entire club to take down a bigger boss.

The raid has 5 tier level that get harder as you go along. Each one has certain requirements for gears and star level as well to unlock them, so your sure to have a chance to win.

Tis first raid has Ursula from the Little Mermaid as the raid boss. It’s actully really cool as she fits in with the other characters from that movie in the game and just looks awesome in game too. We need more villain’s to choose from and having Ursula in the game helps with that. We just need one more character from to make a full Little Mermaid team.

If you are able to successfully clear the raids you will be rewarded with tokens to spend in a new exchange tab. This has tier 7 gears and some other character tokens like Frozen and Big Hero Six. Each victory in a tier also nets you a reward chest full of goodies. The rewards scale so the higher the tier you win the better the rewards you get.

Honestly I really like the raid idea. It’s something new two the game and challenging. It hasn’t been done before which is nice and we get a new character thats super cool. It’s also something that involves clubs in a bit more interactive a manor.

I just hope they keep adding new characters to go with these raids and not put them in too much. That way it can stay fresh and fun and not over done.

Disney Sorcerer’s Arena Review

S.Samek

If your looking for a new game to help you pass the time I might have an option for you.

Disney Sorcerer’s arena is a battle game where you have Disney characters fight one another in the arena for victory.

It’s a pretty easy game to understand the basics of. Teams are made up of up to five characters and the goal is to knock out the opposing team. Each character has abilities to help achieve this goal and they often have extra effects to help you win beside dealing damage only.

There are a few different modes of gameplay. There are three vs ai storylines to progress through. There are also a couple of different challenge modes, such as Summoner challenges and Tower of endurance, where you try to defeat enemies while keeping everybody alive. If a character is knockout out in this mode they are out unless you restart the challenge.

There is also a pvp  element to the game in the arena, as well as a club system and battle to go against other clubs. You even have rewards specific to being in a club and participating in club battles.

Pretty much every game mode as it’s own rewords to earn so you pretty much have to play them all if you want to complete a roster of all the characters, or even earn the daily rewards.

There are also events to take place in to earn additional and new characters. These are usually pretty fun to play.

The difficulty of the game isn’t to hard, but it’s not free wins everytime either. Though this can also depend on if you decide to spend money on the game to level up characters,or even get new ones that are more powerful. You can still play without spending money, but it will take sometime to unlock the really good stuff.

Though thats one thing I don’t like about the game is how many currencies  they have for lack of a better term. Like you have to juggle, gold, energy, gears, stars, character coins, event coins, and each game modes coins. It gets to be a lot to keep track of.

Though the roster of characters is decent and getting better. The roster currently sits at 70 with movies characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles and Onward and more being included. Plus with room to grow I’m sure you can find a team of five you’ll enjoy using in battle.

This game is super fun to get into no matter what you’re looking for. I think it’s worth a shot if you like Disney, or battle games. Even if you’re just looking for time wasters this is worth a shot.

Snupps Review

S. Samek

I was watching a video from Youtuber Top Pops. In it he was reviewing his entire collection. Before he started he talked about a new app.

The app is called Snupps. It’s a way to share images and seems to be geared toward collectors. So far, it’s a lot of fun to use.
The basic way it works is to set up what are called shelves categories. Then you can upload images to those categories. People can then see them almost like Instagram.
Though it seems like it is easier to upload from a computer than it is with Instagram.

You can also follow people and make groups for those with similar interests. You can upload this for your phone, or computer for free.

Try it out and follow if your interested @samekba.
Note I wasn’t paid to say this and the app is free. Check it out for yourself.
